Traveling from coast to coast in a day is a long haul, but this group handles every bump and lull with elegance. We started our trip west with an old school supermarket sweep, securing everything we need to cook breakfasts and lunches on the island, plus chocolate buttons. Then we paid a visit to 2018’s nationwide Best Service Centre (!!!), i.e. rest stop, to refuel at Ireland’s answer to In-N-Out. We spent the last of our afternoon roaming the walled gardens and chapel aisles of storied Kylemore Abbey, a private estate turned self-sustaining Benedictine monastery, where the students wrote found language poems. Big castle vibes.
